Members attending the 2010 Annual Meeting voted to adopt two proposed local studies:
A REVIEW OF OUR POSITION ON SCHOOL FINANCE AND QUALITY OF EDUCATION

A STUDY TO EVALUATE THE USE OF BIOMASS IN PRODUCING ENERGY IN WESTERN MASSACHSETTS
Four biomass plants are proposed for 4 different communities and are going through the permitting process, which may be done by the end of the year. If the Amherst League wants to support or oppose the proposed biomass plants, we will have to conduct the study over the summer and have consensus meeting in the fall of 2010.
