The League's annual lobby day at the State House.
Organize your carpools and put your lobbying hat on. It's time to make democracy work! Day on the Hill, LWVMA's annual lobbying day is Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Great Hall at the State House. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the program runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
Our theme this year is Moving the Needle on League Priorities, and we'll be focusing on key legislation in voting, the environment, immigration and criminal justice reform. Keynote speakers are Rep. Patricia Haddad, speaker pro tempore in the House, and Sen. Cynthia Creem, assistant majority leader in the Senate. Registration and coffee begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the State House, with the program from 10 a.m. to noon. We'll offer a brief tutorial on how to lobby before you go see your own legislators after the program.
If you register before Oct. 16, the LWVMA office will let your Senators and Representatives know that their League constituents will be stopping by. Or you can make your own arrangements with your legislators.
