Resources on Charter Commissions in Massachusetts

A question concerning the establishment of an Amherst Charter Commission will appear on the ballot for the March 29, 2016, Amherst municipal elections. On the same ballot, residents will vote for up to nine candidates to serve on the Commission. Here are some resources to help you prepare.

LWVA Sponsors Panel on Issues with Private Health Insurance

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, a panel heard personal stories about issues dealing with private health insurance companies. Comments came from both patients and providers. All of the stories from the Speak Out will be collected and given to the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing at a hearing in Boston for single payer bills.
