The state primary election will be held THURSDAY, September 8. The League of Women Voters of Amherst will hold a candidates forum for positions for which there is more than one candidate on Thursday, August 25, at the Town Hall from 7 to 9 p.m.

LWVA Charter Question and Candidates Forum 3/14

The forum on March 14, 2016, in the auditorium of the Amherst Regional Middle School will begin with a speaker covering the role and options of a town charter commission and continue with an opportunity for the candidates for the proposed Commission to introduce themselves.

LWVA Sponsors Panel on Issues with Private Health Insurance

On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, a panel heard personal stories about issues dealing with private health insurance companies. Comments came from both patients and providers. All of the stories from the Speak Out will be collected and given to the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing at a hearing in Boston for single payer bills.

Candidates Night

Please join us on March 19, 7-9 pm for Candidates' Night in the Town Room at the Amherst Town Hall. This is the League of Women Voters' way of keeping Amherst citizens informed about the upcoming election on March 31st. We will be hearing from the candidates and have an opportunity to ask them some questions as well.
